Blogging for CASH or for FUN

No need to start with what blogging is, or how to go about starting your own blog. (If you need a tutorial on how to start your own blog for free, contact me). We have to move from that point to a point where we talk about the main purpose of blogging. 

People blog mainly for two major reasons; one for money and the other for fun. Most bloggers start their blog for the purpose of making money from it. Which one is better, blogging for cash or for fun.

Using my case as an example, I started blogging around 2006 just for te cash in it. My main aim is to make money from my blog, I started with (http://cash-spot.blogspot.com), but later changed to aceforex.blogspot.com because I wasn’t seeing what I was expecting. The money never come, so I was disappointed.

I later figured out that, one need traffic to really make money online, so I did my research and found out what people search for most online. One of the niches that had a lot of searches online was news, so I created http://breakdnews.blogpsot.com, then I started seeing traffic with little return in my Adsense revenue. Though I was a bit satisfied with the little I was earning, but it’s just too stressful for me. To get breaking news and posting it on my blog looked like a big task.

Since I was working harder than what I was earning, I totally lost passion in blogging, that I have to apply some brakes. Not until when I educated myself and found out the real thing behind bloggin, that’s when this blog came to live.

I found out that blogging for cash will get you frustrated if the cash is not coming in. But if you are blogging for fun, entertaining everybody, you wont get bored at it. And also, people will find your blog interesting, this will make them keep coming back. The more visitors you have the more your potential of earning big from blogging.

So as from now on, I write what I enjoy writing and reading, I blog on what interests me. So I dont care if money come or not, for sure the money will still come even if I dont invite it.

 

Points to learn from:

• Never let the money be your priority when starting a blog
• Blog only on stuffs that interests you
• Make your blog post interesting and educative enough to turn your visitors into subscribers
• When blogging for fun, let time plays it own part, as the reward will come but it will only take time
• And lastly never loose focus, persistence is the cheat of the game called blogging.
