TWITTER: Great Tool that’s more than a Social Network

You should agree that Web 2.0 rates everyone equally. The only difference is that the site admin oversees and moderates the community. While the site admin is superior, other users or contibutors are all the same.

The internet is stealing the day and web 2.0 being rave of the moment. It creates a community for the affluence, the middle-class, people in power, students, communist, journalist, africans, americans, talk of it, it creates a community for us in our individual environment. It makes us have a sense of belonging somewhere on the internet.

I can’t talk about what web 2.0 has done for mankind without talking about the present tool that encompasses the whole internet; TWITTER. Web 2.0 is one thing, twitter is just another thing. I think what makes twitter great is that it’s good for marketing, good for networking, and it’s kind of simple to operate.

I do not really embrace this twitter not until when great internet marketers, bloggers, affiliate gurus started promoting their tweet page. Well I check it out and did not understand exactly how to build followers.

I can’t figure it out that it’s a “scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back” scenario. I have been on there for quite long now and never build my followers above 3 people. But 3 days ago I discovered it. The basic secret to getting followers on twitter. I go to know  that if you follow, they’ll follow.

Immediately I discovered that’s how to start, I got into work and started following people, not just ordinary peolple, but gurus like Problogger, shoemoney, guykawasaki, johnchow, mikefilsaime, bradcallen and others.

Just within 2hrs, different people I don’t know started following me. Those that I follow, follow me. And that’s just the simple way I used to increase my followers. I know its not something new but it might just help you if find yourself in this situation.

And lastly, I saw a tweet on twitter about how you can build your followership through a matrix kind of thing. That is, you follow 5 people to join the matrix system, then you’ll be given a url to refer just only 5 people and the matrix system begins.

The 5 people you refer will also refer another 5 people each and this inturn generates a new 25 followers for you and the downline will grow until it reaches level 5. I signed up for it to see how effective it is. You can get more information and signup process here.

The web is constantly changing, embrace the change and follow it through so you’ll never be left in the dark.

Follow me on twitter.
